7 Ways To Organise Your Jewellery At Home

One of the dilemmas you may encounter if you have several items of jewellery is how you are going to store it all at home.

How you choose to do so might be influenced both by how much jewellery you own, and what items of jewellery you have.

At one end of the scale, you might not give this much thought, and may simply have your jewellery sitting in anything you can find. However, on the other end, you may be looking for a solution to keep your jewellery well organised.

If you fall into that second group and are currently unhappy with how you are storing your jewellery at home, then please read on.

If you do so, you will see we have described several viable solutions that you can use at home to store your jewellery.

We should point out that our suggestions are not geared towards high-value jewellery that requires secure storage such as a safe, given that most of them allow your jewellery to be open and viewed for easy access.

Jewellery Ladder

This can be created by shortening and adapting an existing ladder although they can be purchased.

The rungs on the ladder are ideal for hanging chains and necklaces, and allow them to be seen easily.

Rungs can also be used to support small containers or baskets. Some users attach netting between two rungs to hang earrings.

All-In-One

This is a solution that has numerous ways and options to store jewellery, all of which are in view.

It can have hooks to hang items from such as chains and earrings, rods that are ideal for hanging necklaces, a lattice for earrings, and many also have a mirror.

Jewellery Frame

The frame in ‘jewellery frame’ refers to a picture frame.

With this solution, you have a lattice or netting which is fixed within the frame, and there is also likely to be a plain backing to make items easier to see and recognise.

Primarily, jewellery frames are perfect for earrings and smaller items of jewellery.

Wall Mounted Jewellery Organiser

This simple option can be done to varying degrees with one, two, or more wall-mounted wooden blocks, into which are screwed a series of hooks.

Each of the hooks can hold bracelets, rings, earrings, and chains. You may also loop a cord between the two outer hooks which then can hold multiple items.

Hanging Jewellery Organiser

A simple and low-cost method of storing lots of jewellery items.

They usually have a coat hanger at the top, and the storage itself consists of rows of small clear pockets that can contain earrings and small items, or loops that are best for hanging chains and necklaces.

Free Standing Jewellery Organiser

Another option that lends itself more to practical use rather than being the most visually appealing, although, once it has jewellery draped from it, that will surely change.

Its construction has a base, often with small drawers, and a metal organiser that looks not dissimilar to a ship’s mast with bars across it which chains, bracelets and necklaces can be hung from.

Traditional Jewellery Box

We include this simply because it is an extremely popular tried and tested method of storing jewellery.

They can be made from all kinds of materials including clear Perspex which allows you to see what is stored in each drawer or compartment.
